Truffle weekend at Dömle manor

To celebrate our wedding day, which falls in October, we usually book an experience every year and this year the choice fell on Dömle manor. Dömle is only about half an hour away from Karlstad and is a cosy mansion that welcomes both conference guests and private individuals. Just the other year they also expanded their facility with a spa.

This weekend the manor was visited by star chef Norbert Lang, who invited us to a weekend dedicated to truffles. On the menu was a five-course dinner with truffles in all dishes. And yes, there were also truffles in the dessert.

Before dinner, Dömle's sommelier Thilda held a spontaneous champagne tasting where we got to sample a couple of the manor's finest bubbles. Nice start to the evening!

In addition to eating truffles, there was also time to visit their beautiful spa. We chose to sneak there after an early breakfast and were completely alone for the first half hour. Best whirlpool for us then.

We had a fantastic weekend at Dömle with good food, good wine and a wonderful spa. The fact that it was a beautiful autumn weather of course did its part.
