<\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\nWe had also heard that the oldest tree in the world was nearby. On the way back we found what looked like an old scrawny spruce and assumed that we had found the oldest tree in question. The sign also stated that the tree was 900 years old. We were briefly pleased and satisfied with our find but Wikipedia brought us back down to earth. We now know that the world's oldest tree is called Old Tjikko and is about 9550 years old. We missed this attraction but for those who want to visit Fulufj\u00e4llet and see the tree, we recommend for example the here<\/a> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So this is not the oldest tree in the world, but it is quite old.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n As mentioned in the introduction, Fulufj\u00e4llet also has its own Naturum. Unfortunately it was closed due to Corona but the open architecture allowed us to peek in and it seems to be well worth a visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nOur impression of Fulufj\u00e4llet is that it is a nice national park both for a short stop as we did, or for a long trip. It is not inconceivable that we will come here again. Then we will not miss the tree!
