During the summer, posts after posts about Kycklingleden appeared in my social feed. The picnic bag and coffee maker came along of course. The Chicken Trail is described as a medium to difficult hiking trail of about 6 km. We would probably describe it as medium even though it was quite hilly in parts. We hiked through a beautiful forest and down through the somewhat wet Kycklingdalen to then get up the mountain with a dazzling view of Lake V\u00e4nern. The mountain suffered a major forest fire in 2004, traces of which can still be seen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the best viewpoint there is a shelter and benches to sit on. Just to pick up the hiking kitchen, because on the menu was soup and freshly baked pan bread. For dessert it was of course coffee and cake. Clearly worth a visit!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what about the name Chicken Trail? Well, it's on one of the information signs along the trail.
